Pastor Johnny G. Lassiter, Sr. is a native of Newport News, VA. He attended Wesley Grove United Church of Christ under the pastor and leadership of Rev. G. Wesley Rainey, III, and Rev. Dr. Isaac McDonald.
In 1981, he gave his life to the Lord and began to do many works around the community. He also occupied his time singing with local quartet groups, faithfully attending bible study, Sunday School, and church services.
Through the years he has accomplished many goals and achievements.
In 1982 he appeared in magazines and newspapers for his art, architecture, and other multiple talents. He’s won and received many awards, certificates, recognitions, and plaques.
He’s favored with such accomplishments as the two-story painting of “Jesus and John the Baptist” at Wesley Grove United Church of Christ, Newport News, VA, window paintings and art for McDonald’s Corporation, and other graphic designs and paintings in the surrounding Hampton Roads and Tidewater Area.
He continued his education at Hampton University, studying in the field of Architectural Design.
In 1985, he joined Mt. Sinai RZUA Church, 2716 Moton St., Portsmouth, VA under the leadership of Pastor Rev. David Johnson, Sr. where he faithfully served as a youth pastor and a bass guitar musician as he resided in the Chesapeake and Suffolk area for 30 plus years.
Being very shy, it was hard for him to see that God has called him into the ministry but God strengthened, choose, ordained, and sent him to preach His Word in 1986. He’s worked as President and Vice President in the Men’s Department, Pastor’s Aide, and Inspirational Choir. He served as the secretary for the Ministerial Alliance of the Reformed Union Apostolic Churches of America in which he was given the responsibility for acting as Information Technology Coordinator for the entire body in 1992. He began pastoring Solomon’s Temple RZUA Church, Petersburg, VA in 1993 for nearly 3 yrs. until he was called back to his home church to assist his pastor.
One of his biggest achievements was the design and building of the New Mt. Sinai RZUA Church, 103 Gust Lane, Portsmouth, VA, in October 2001 where he was previously a member and Youth Pastor.
In 2015, Johnny relinquished his duties for RZUA Churches of America to go independent with his home church which is now called New Mt. Sinai Church.
He was employed with CDI Marine Company in Virginia Beach, VA doing Naval Architecture for small watercraft and carriers and some Information Technology as CAD Coordinator since 1997.
Presently, he’s been employed with Norfolk Naval Shipyard since 2015 also doing freelance work with technical illustrations, architectural design, and consultant, digital imaging, photography, and computer technician. He’s the Senior Pastor and Founder of Greater HOPE Manifested International Ministries and Greater HOPE Manifested Bible College and Empowerment Center, Suffolk, VA. He’s now the father of 3 children, Ebony, Ciara, Johnny, II, and 6 grands, Shakiyah, Laniyah, Alayah, Felicity, Emani, and RonJ. In 2017 he was be-wedded to Teresa Ann Lassiter, Senior Pastor and Founder of HOPE Manifested Ministries of Newport News, VA having 2 children, Tanesha and Michael, and 2 grands, Laurin and Elijah.
Through all these accomplishments and much, much more, he quotes this scripture:
Philip. 3:8a …I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord:
Philip. 3:12-14 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. [13] Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, [14] I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Teresa A. Lassiter is married to Pastor Johnny Lassiter and is the mother of two, a son Michael and a daughter Tanesha; She is the grandmother of little Ms. Lauren. She began her Christian walk at Life Line Full Gospel Church under the leadership of Pastor Herbert A. Hill, Jr. where God began to use her to teach and preach the Gospel and to complete biblical studies through Beacon University. She was licensed to minister the Gospel in February 2007. In July 2009 God hose and through the confirmation of Pastor Shaw of Restoration Family Life Center she was ordained as a five-fold ministry gift of Pastor where she served as Associate Pastor. She holds an Associate Degree in Theology from Christian life School of Theology.
On May 22, 2011 service was held at the Omni Hotel in Newport News and HOPE Manifested Ministries through the release of Bishop William M. Dawson was launched as a church where Pastor Teresa and her husband Pastor Johnny Lassiter serve as Pastors. HOPE Manifested Ministries is also a host church for Ministry International Institute where Pastor Teresa teaches courses for the Associate Degree Program She is an author, writer, prayer warrior, mentor and coach. She is the founder and CEO of MotivateME, LLC where she uses her gifts as a motivational speaker, coach, Magazine Editor to build Self Esteem, Confidence and Courage.
She has seen many good days and some challenging days but her best day is when she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. One of her favorite scriptures is Psalm 34:8 “O taste and see that the Lord is good, blessed is the man who trust in Him.” Pastor Teresa loves the Lord and believes all things are possible with God. Her desire is to serve God and to partner with Him to advance His kingdom by moving in the Great Commission “Go ye therefore and make disciples and teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded.” She is the author of the study “Steps to Growing in Christ” and “It’s time to WAIL.
She is the author of “Steps to Growing in Christ”. She is currently seeking a Bachelor of Science Degree in Christian Leadership and Management through Regent University.
